Come Celebrate the 10th National
Day of Puppetry!
A day of Performances, Workshops and Puppet Demonstrations,
Produced by the Boston Area Guild of Puppetry
and the Puppet Showplace Theatre

MORNING SCHEDULE:
10:00 - 12:30 - Puppetry Demonstrations in the theater lobby
aimed at children of all ages, the morning will feature a variety of professional puppeteers demonstrating their craft and showing how it's done.
10:00 - Shadow puppets
10:30 - Hand puppets and puppet voices
11:00 - Toy Theater
11:30 - Object Theater

AFTERNOON SCHEDULE:
12:00 - 3:00, Puppet-making workshops
held next door at Inner Space, geared for all ages.
Space is limited so come early and sign up!
12:00 - Sock Puppets
1:00 - Finger Puppets
2:00 - Sock Puppets
Also in the workshop space all afternoon, make a paper frog puppet, and also try on puppets of different kinds.

Featured Performance: Snow White and Other Tales
by the award-winning Perry Alley Theatre!

1:00 PM and 3:00 PM
Tickets to the performance $10 ($8 members)
Recommended for ages 4 and up

Snow White and Other Tales offers a selection of traditional stories, each told in their own unique way. The show begins with the Cat Rap, a break-dancing cat performed by two puppeteers, followed by The Princess and the Pea, which is accompanied by a guitar-playing actor. Little Red Riding Hood is told in the style of Ancient Rome, and a hilarious version of Snow White is told with object puppetry and a humanette.
